Ready! is available at no cost for a limited time. Following the introductory period, fares will be the same as MATA’s fixed-route bus service. For full fare information please click here.

How do I pay?

Following the introductory period, rides can be paid for with cash onboard Ready! vehicles. MATA will soon offer online payments and scheduling through the GO901 Mobile app and go901transit.com.

How long will it take for my ride to arrive?

The goal is to pick you up within 20 minutes.  Depending on usage and time of day, such as during the peak hours of 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the pick-up time will vary based on demand and vehicles available.

How do I check the status of my ride?

When booking through the reservation line, a representative will inform you of your expected pick-up time. If using the mobile app and desktop booking systems, you can track your ride online and receive notifications.

How are rides scheduled?

Please note, pick-ups and drop-offs will take place in the most efficient order geographically. Drivers may combine individual trips to create shared rides. Other passengers' destinations may not be directly in line with yours, so your patience is requested as the driver attempts to serve all destinations in a logical manner.

When do I meet my ride?

Please be ready to meet your driver at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.

Can I change my pick-up time?

If you need to adjust your pick-up time, please immediately call 901.322.0466.

Will I be sharing a ride?

Yes, our vans can accommodate up to 8 passengers.

How do I return home?

If you need a ride home and are in the service area, book a return trip through the app, online portal or call 901.322.0466. If you are outside the service area, you may take a fixed route bus to the Ready! service area and schedule a pick-up from there.

How is this service different from MATAplus?

Ready! does not require reservations or certification of eligibility. Rides can be booked at any time during operational hours if you are traveling within the service area. Ready! vehicles can accommodate persons with disabilities.

Reservations and recurring trips-

Rides may be booked when needed (on demand) or one to three days in advance. Recurring trips, such as every Tuesday at 2 p.m., may be scheduled as a subscription trip if the desired time slot is available. Trip reservations are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long is the pilot program?

While the service is a one-year pilot program, it is also part of the Transit Vision which is included in the Memphis 3.0 plan. The plan has been formally adopted by the Land Use Control Board and signed as an executive order by Mayor Jim Strickland. For more information on the Transit Vision, please click here.
